Spontaneous Return

“When you are enjoying life time flies by, when you are not it stands still, though in reflection of this stillness, the observant may note how much of it has passed, and how much has been wasted.”

This basically explains how fruitful and eventful my 16 days back in Malaysia. I made every days counted since I touched down Malaysia. From family to friends, they never fail to make my return, a memorable one. I am truly glad even distance tears us apart, our bond still stays firm and strong. We still stay crazy as usual. Frankly I say, I am starting to miss them, I miss those days when we were together.

Once I touched down in KLIA, I was fetched back to Malacca, where home sweet home is. After two hours of journey, I reached home. I am so happy to see familiar faces everywhere, everything is so precious to me. Unpacked my luggage and shared everything that I had bought from US for the family, had my shower and off to dinner with the family. After dinner, I actually went to visit my ill grandma, seeing her suffering is how my tears rolled. I couldn’t even accept the fact that she was ill. I pray to Lord so that grandma can live healthily and many more years to go.

The next day, which was Sunday, I actually rest myself well since I was still on jet lag mood. I woke up late in the afternoon, but I was awake by a call from my lovely uncle. Then, I had my brunch and went to renew my driving license. After reached home, uncle’s family was at my house. I was so happy to see them especially my little cousin who has grown up so much since I last saw him. I had a great gossip time with them before we went for Ikan Bakar as dinner. It was perfectly scrumptious because you know; you won’t get to eat such amazing foods outside Malaysia.

That’s how the first weekend ended well for me in Malaysia.

San Diego Trip

2013 has comes to an end. This year is one of the years that I will remember throughout my whole life. Through ups and downs, I survive and never give up until today. This is a year fills with sorrow only when people who are close to me know how my life has been torturing me and making me a stronger person. And now, I am glad to tell the world, I survive! Thank you 2013; let's welcome 2014 with an open-hearted. May the light always be around us, hope always surround us. May our wounds fade out; heart embrace kindness, love and wisdom. May smile never leave our lips and a healthy glow stay on out cheeks. May all desires turn true.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

With the ending of 2013, this directly brings me to the first blog post of the year 2014. I am glad I still make my blog alive. As promised to you, I will update my blog once I am back from vacation in San Diego, but I am just too tired and procrastinate until today. Well, before I start off how amazing San Diego is, I actually threw a big surprise to everyone that I made a spontaneous decision to fly back Malaysia! Everyone was shocked, surprised, but I feel so happy to make them feel so! Everyone feels so excited for me, so do myself. I couldn’t even express myself with a single word after flight ticket was booked. The first thing I did was spreading the joyous news to my best friends whom I miss so much. I feel happy that I finally can meet up with them, seeing the familiar faces like those days.

Okay, let’s back to the main topic, San Diego. So, my housemate and I went to San Diego on 26th Dec to 30th Dec 2013. I use one word to describe San Diego, which is HOT! The weather in San Diego was extremely hot that could kill most of our skin cells. We touched down San Diego International Airport early in the morning, and we took cab from airport to our hotel. Too bad, it was too early for us to check in, therefore we just sit at the hotel lobby to start plan for our schedule. Coincidentally, we bumped into Jia Yiee and Wan Ning at the hotel lobby. Therefore, we joined them for the following days before they left San Diego two days before we left.

On the first day, we actually planned to head to Sea World San Diego, but who knows the crowd was horribly unexpected. Even queue-ing up to buy entrance tickets can take a long time, so we ended up left Sea World and went to beach. San Diego is well-known with its extensive beaches. It is a must to go beaches when you are in San Diego. Therefore, we went to Shell Beach and La Jolla Shores Beach. La Jolla Beach is a long, flat beach for a hand-in-hand stroll, and it's got great views of La Jolla. In Shell beach, the glistening water and gentle breeze for a refreshing experience.

The next day, we went to Sea World. Despite of the hot weather, everything was perfect in Sea World. I am so impressed with how close I can get to the sea life.Sea World is known for Shamu, its trained killer whale, or orca, which stars in the park's most famous show. Other shows feature trained dolphins and sea lions. Popular attractions include a shark encounter, a giant aquarium and Rocky Point Preserve, where guests can feed dolphins by hand. The park also boasts theme park-like rides, such as a Journey to Atlantis roller-coaster, a virtual reality Wild Arctic Ride and Shipwreck Rapids, which simulates a whitewater river rafting experience.

The following day, we actually went to Las Americas Premium Outlets. It was about one hour journey from our hotel to the outlets. It consists of 125 outlets including COACH, BURBERRY, BANANA REPUBLIC, COTTON ON, FOREVER 21, MICHAEL KORS, KATE SPADE, RAPHL LAUREN, LASCOTE, and the list goes on and on. From here, usually you will get cheaper price compared to those branches in town even though the designs and styles were the most advanced.

As for the last day, we went to the famous San Diego Zoo. An urban paradise for all ages, the San Diego Zoo is a must-see in Southern California. Spend the day monkeying around in our tropical oasis as you visit amazing habitats for animals such as gorillas, tigers, sun bears, flamingos, mandrills, polar bears, birds of paradise, giant tortoises, leopards and more. Take a Panda Trek to visit the giant pandas and other animals that share their bamboo forest habitat. Go back in time through Elephant Odyssey to discover what animals used to roam Southern California and to see a herd of Asian elephants. Enjoy a guided tour on a double-decker bus or an aerial view from Skyfari, dine in the peaceful surroundings of Albert’s Restaurant, and see animals up close in the Children's Zoo. Discover the wonders of wildlife with animal encounters, interactive experiences, and keeper presentations. A leader in animal care and conservation, the San Diego Zoo is at the heart of the San Diego experience.

Till the next morning, we woke up early in the morning, checked out the hotel and headed to airport. That’s basically my first trip on semester break. Looking forward for the next trip :)
