Chinese New Year Trip aka Korea Trip 2012 ♥

As you guys know, I couldn't celebrate this Dragon year. So, my family and I planned to go on a vacation to KOREA during Chinese New Year. We actually left Malaysia on the 21st of Jan. We assemble at KLIA for our flight to the capital of Korea,Seoul. It took approximately 12hours of journey to reach Korea.

In Kuala Lumpur International Airport waiting for boarding :)

We reached Korea around 5am and then we started our journey of holidays to the first destination, YONGIN Everland. This place is so called Korea's Disneyland. Its festival World Park, which offers thrilling rides, attractions jungle safari and seasonal flower shows. The scenery is picturesque and breathtaking.

We spent the whole day in Everland and then headed for dinner. The first meal we taken was steamboat. It was scrumptious as we had the first try on Korean Food. At first, we thought it will be a disgusting meal because we dislike Korean Food but we were totally wrong. It tastes nice! (:

The next morning, we stayed in Ski Resort. This is a place where we learn how to ski on white snow and enjoy all the fun with skating and sledding. The temperature was horribly low,-18Celsius. We love SNOW! It’s seriously perfect scenery.

In the same place, we took the tram to the peak of hill. The view is just attract everyone attention. The wind blows on your cheek is the best part. The scenery is just darn amazing! Believe it or not? Have a look.

We were all busy playing with the white snow! (:

We precede our journey to Naminara Republic then. It’s an island which formed with pebbles and sand, there are no mountains in the island, but there are trees tall enough to touch the sky. Nami Island is a place for rest and relaxation. It’s the original site for the famous drama, Winter Sonata shooting place. The weather was just so cold. Even the water became ice. Imagine it.

Our next destination was followed by Kimchi School where we can experience how to make kimchi as well as try Korean traditional dress. We took lots of pictures at here.

In Korean traditional dress (:

After that, we went to Soho Laver Musuem. It’s a museum which has various type of seaweed and has a taster of the fresh made seaweed. In here, I learnt how actually seaweed is made and can be so delicious.

We went to Mt. Sorak National Park. This is one of the most beautiful mountains in Korea.

After that, we went to Kyongbok Palace which was built in 1934, the main palace by the first King of YI Dynasty.

We took domestic flight to the exotic honeymoon Jeju Island. It took us about one hour to reach there.

We went to a world of Teddy Bear. It’s known as Tesuem Safari. It’s a fantastic voyage into Safari with Teddy Bear. Teddy Bear originated from the nickname for Theodor Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States. Teddy Bear has been loved around the world for more than 100 years.

After that, we went to Seongeup Folk Village. Here is a place where we met the island people who still live behind stone courtyard walls in thatched roof rock homes.

We then followed by 3D Trick Art Museum. Created the illusion that depicted object really exists and are not just two dimensional painting.

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Musuem was our next destination. It’s one of a kind items collected by explorer Robert Ripley, during his travels of over 35years to 198 different countries. The items collected are all hard for us to believe.

The last destination of the day was Yongduam Rock. It is an unusual lava formation, its looks like a roaring dragon rising from the sea into the sky. Breathtaking scenery indeed.

Early in the morning, we went to Mysterious Road. Here to experience the phenomenon of going uphill with the engine off.

After that, again we took domestic flight back to Seoul. At night, we went for Nanta Show. It is a totally non verbal performance. It presented through music and motions. It's no language barrier and enjoyed by people from all walks of life. It is real Awesome! Love it :)

We went back to Malaysia on the last day, 28th Jan 2012. We really had fun enjoying ourselves to the fullest even though the weather is damn cold. If have chances, pay a visit to Korea is a must :)
